Question wiring harness S4 T2

Ive search around the forum about this type of question. I'm currently rebuilding my 88 s4 t2 atm and when I was fiddling with the engine harness I found this little problem with the wires thats connected to the injectors.

As you can see I traced it to the injectors and it seems the one of the wires in the red lines doesn't connect to anything. But the blue lines is. Also I didn't cut the wires or anything, I just took out the tape that was on it and I saw it like that. Oh the part where the blue and red line are both together in the bottom it seems its being hold by something. Any help on this or is it like this? Sorry for the crappy image took it on my phone.

Heres a better picture that I got. I'm pointing on the part where its being tied together or some sort and where one of them leads to nothing while the other into the harness.
