wire mess

My shell is an 89 NA
The motor WAS a s4 TII

I am swapping in a JDM S4 with s5 manifolds/injectors/wiring harness/ecu.

While pulling the old motor i noticed some custom wiring which i am hoping some one may be able to explain.

1) The Crank Angle Sensor was custom wired in to the ECU, but on the single plug that dose not head out to the engine bay. Any ideas why? How to i reverse this? Do i need to reverse this? The motor i am swapping in has the CAS plug in its wiring harness.

2) A single wire is ran off the one of the two ecu plugs that head out to the engine compartment and runs to the back of the car. I am guessing it has something to do with the fuel pump. Any ideas why?

Thanks.
