Dude, you bumped yourself only after 18 minutes.
You know alot of your questions can be answered in the FAQ and there is a section in the Free FSM download and in the Haynes manual on how to remove the engine.

A good write up on how to remove the engine.
You can do either way, but I think pulling it out through the firewall will keep things more organized.

It's better to unplug the engine harness from the car.
Besides the ECU eonnectors, there are two dash to engine harness connectors on the far right, high up under the dash.
Pulling the radiator is easy & gives more room.
Other stuff - Clutch line, primary cables to the starter, transmission connectors, firewall ground strap.

FC3S_nataku Bumps are forbidden here. Do not bump again. Your bump has been deleted.
Do you really think anyone is gonna answer within 15 minutes... or are you that selfish that you think your question is more important than anyone elses question here.

Kevin has a very good write-up in the tech section of his web site, under "engine removal".
