Wiper Switch S5 vs S4 -- same?

I tried searching, but didn't see anything specific to this question...

Assuming both cars had cruise control, would the Wiper switch assemblies be interchangeable on S5 & S4 cars? I have a 91 vert that my wiper switch went out on. I'm in the process of trying to replace the relay, but may be money (and time) ahead if I spot a replacement in the junkyard. (Besides the fact that it would be a backup if I screw one up).

Will any old donor car work or will it have to be a S5? Better yet, will it have to be a 'vert? I'm assuming no on both questions, but please confirm.

thanks!!

There is a difference

Only the S5 Vert has the cruise in the wiper switch module. The S4 Vert has the convertable top control in this location. The Hard Top S4 & S5's have the rear wiper control in this center location.

If you need a S5 Wiper Switch module, you will need a Vert one.

One of the So Cal 7 guys (Joe Romero) replaces the defective relay for $50 plus return shipping. If you want, PM me and I'll hook you up.
