wiper switch problems - dirty contacts?

Hey guys I have a little problem with my wiper switch (S4) where it gets kind of stock on the Mist setting. That is, when I use the Mist setting they just keep going and going and I have to cycle between "I" and "Int" and wait for them to stop then I can safely set it to "Off."

Could this be a problem with the relays in the switch or the contact points of the ****?

I've read Icemark's DIY on his website but that focused on replacement of the relays primarily.
