MB Wiper switch

I have only one setting working on my 88 vert wiper switch. I can get a rebuilt one for $115.00. Any suggestions as to where I can get a used one, or are they not worth buying?
Is this a common problem?

Classified section. Mine's always been hit and miss on the intermittent setting, but works fine on the others.

its super common, Icemark used to rebuild them for people, RIP icemark.

supposed to be something like 2 relays and some soldering, but you need to know what you are doing.

If you know your way around soldering PCBs, it's a terribly easy fix. It took me about an hour to do. If I had a little better equipment and a bit more practice I would volunteer to rebuild them for people, but I'm not sure if I would trust my soldering skills that much.

Here's Icemark's page on performing the repair:

Thanks for the hints, guys, seems a rebuilt one is half the price of a new factory one.
I'm pretty much hopeless at soldering, I think I'll get the rebuilt one as I am concerned the remaining working setting will quitMike
