Windows & Sunroof probs!!!!
I got a gxl with power windows and power sunroof..
Now both of them move very slowly when I put the windows up and down and when I move the sunroof back and forth
Is their any reason that they move very slowly??
thanx

I would pull the door panels, pop the windows out, pull the regulators then clean/regrease the track. Plug the motor/regulator in & run it up/down a few times to evenly distribute the lubricant. Try it. If they still stick, slow down, hmmm.... Do you have tint? It adds a wee bit to the thickness. Check to make sure the weather seals aren't overly tight due to cold. If they are, you could very carefully trim the interior rubber. If still no luck you may just have a worn out motor.

Just be glad yours work. I got the same car as you I think. 88 Blue GXL. My sunroof doesn't work at all. My passenger side window goes ever-so-slow. Only does that now that I cut the tint of enough so it will. My drivers side one makes this aweful clicking noise when it goes down & has to be pulled up while you hit the button. Just be glad you got slow man.

If the motors are good, then there is either a bad ground or bad power lead.
I might first check the voltage at the switch. It should be at 12Volts with the key on and not drop (loose voltage) more than 2 to 3 volts with the motor running. If it is then check your ignition at the key, both the Blk/Wht primary ignition and the Blk/Red second ignition. same test.
If they are dropping voltage, check the solid black... this is the ignition switch input constant 12volts. If it is dropping there you have a bad alterntor or battery, or bad 80 amp main fuse connections.
Also, Re-do the batteries ground lead if you have not already done so to a 8awg (8 Gauge) wire.
