Windows, Hot Weather.....not good...

Yo....its me again....haha....ok ok I was wondering....is there a fuse or somethin that controls the windows, because sometimes they work strong, sometimes they work weak and sometimes well...they juss dont work. I was wondering what could be it? the switch or the motor? Sometimes the switch on the drivers side doesnt wanna work so I have to press it acouple of times until it does work. And last but not least, how cold does our A/C's work? like are they not worth fixin, somewhat cool as long as you tint the windows or is it icy cold? Im just wondering because yea....I live in the great Sunshine State..... not all that great....too damn humid

Um... if it is intermittent...I suspect the switch not grounding properly when you click it. The AC's are cold...if they work right...not worth fixing...take it out! When you said you have to press it a couple times tells me that there is a problem in the switch...check it out and let us know!

91Mazda... there is a fuse for it...normally that fuse controls all the interior lighting...um...If I remember correctly there should be a fuse that could have blown...BUT it should have caused your dome lights and other interior accessories to stop...I could be wrong. Afterall you do have a 91. Check anyway. The fuse block is under the steering wheel on the left kick panel!

The 10 amp "cigar" fuse powers the lighter, also the air mix motor, clock, and remote control mirrors (if so equiped)...So, if the rest of that stuff is working, it's not the fuse...on the 86-88 cars anyway....

That's what those components were...thanks!
Oh, if it isn't the fuse...then check the ground wire for the cigarette bad boy! It is running right off the back of it!

I had frequent problems with my drivers window switch, take it out, and pop it open, the contacts are more than likely coated with carbon. Use scotchbright pads or fine sandpaper to clean them to a shine, then reassemble and reinstall it and it should be fine for a few months, then you may need to do it again. My T2 was really bad about this. Whenever the window got slow it was time again. After cleaning the contacts it works great.

my clock doesnt work or my power mirrors but the dome lights right above the rear view mirror do work so i guess they are on another fuse so i just need to replace the fuse since that must be the problem since the other things dont work
