it will look like *** if you don't know how to do it. Little specks of dust, wrinkles, etc.
It's not too expensive to get it done professionally. Maybe $200. You'll be much happier with the result.

You can probably do it yourself, but the back is a pain. I had mine done at a shop and they where able to remove the old tint while saving the rear heat strips. They where able to do the rear in one piece.

There is a chance you could do the windows somewhat decently but the rear hatch glass would probably be very hard to do.I had mine done professionally and they did the rear with one piece of film and it looks "marvelous".

The '7 has pretty damn easy windows to tint. The side ones are easy shapes, no big curves, and the whole back lifts out...lol. You could do it out of car in about 10 minutes.
I say, try it. If you don't like the job you did, you're out $10 and an hour or two....versus paying $200+ for someone to tint them.

I say have it done by the pros. The window film that you can get at Autozone or Napa is not as high of quality as what the pros use. After a couple of years it will start to turn purple. Plus you probably get a warranty with the tint from a tint shop, I know I did and I think it's a lifetime warranty.
yep def get it done profesionally. the rear is a pain they have to cut it out and heat it then stretch it where it curves..it would cost me 220 for complete tint any %. prob going 15 rear and 20 sides..have to go dark on a black car. the % tint shouldnt change the price so make sure they dont charge you extra for any of that ****. i think 35% rear and 50 sides are legal(VA) but thats way to light..
Pro's arent really that expesnive, also if you mess the tint up and have to get it done properly they are gonna charge your more to fix it. A mate of mine did my car rear screen was a real *** needed to spend ages shrinking it to fit, its not worth the hassle trying to do it yourself

The main reason why I mention that is because when I did the tint on my older FC I ended up messing up a few of the heat strips. They happened to be in the line of site, so it was kinda of a pain in the winter or when it fogged up. Plust I had to do the tint in strips.
I use the rear defroster with no problems with the tint.

ps- what % did u guys get? pics?
im stuck on what to get for my back window either 5 or 20 (or 15 if they have it)
i feel like 5 may be too dark mostly at nite, but i really want to protect my system and with 20% u can still see? or would it still be dark enough to not see much?

Its very time consuming and hard to do it right yourself. I used to do it for friends. I've had my last 3 cars done professionally. I refuse to do it anymore. 20% all around on my last car was perfect.
It is not as hard as half of you guys are making it out to be. I just did my friends accord and also did my rx7 vert. Scrape the window with a razor and mild soap and water to clean it. Make sure the window and film are saturated good so it slides around. Take your time and get all the little bubbles out, dont roll the windows down for 4-7days and when done take a torch to the outside of the windows. Just dont leave it in one spot for long. Here are some pics of mine. Only ones i have right now. Oh yea that is 5% on mine.
