Window goes click click click when rolled all the way up?

When I roll my drivers side window all the way up it goes click click before I can let of the switch fast enough. Is this the motor making this noise? Window works great just kinds concerned about the noise. Thoughts on what I should do???

Just want to confirm what part may be going out? Will try and collect one when I'm around another parts car.

I viewed it, but didn't have any revelations on what it might be . I'll take you through my thought process if that helps somehow. The motor should completely stop once the window reaches the top. I'm less familiar with the coupe chain-driven mechanism, but on convertibles, 2 cables are fed around a gear connected to the motor. The chain system should work almost the exact same way, so if the gear could pop loose from the chain (and make a click noise), I don't think it would drive the thing at all in the first place. So, that seems unlikely.

Besides the motors, chains & track, the only other part of the setup would be the window stops. You could try adjusting them to see if they're not being reached soon enough and the window is trying to overextend. Just an idea.

Thanks for the reply 88. The motor just seems to keep going.

I'll try searching about window stops. Again thanks for your "thought process"

No problem. If I were you, I'd take the door panel off and watch/listen to the thing while moving up and down.
