Will this work?

I Need to buy an air filter for my S5 to S5 T2 swap. I have the stock 2.5 to 3" intake hose going to the AFM. So I guess all I need is a mass air flow with a 3" opening?

http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=57-5005

I cant find anything that says its for the turbo model except the Blitz filter.

Not sure what you mean about needing a "mass air flow", but any cone filter with a 3" opening will work. I use this filter: http://www.aempower.com/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=826. It's an AEM dryflow, that never has to be oiled, and is practically indestructible.

Seems awfully cheap... Is it a good product? If so I might jump onboard. I just want something that will keep my turbo engine running nicely. Nothing too fancy.

I heard the Blitz one isnt worth its money, and K&N isnt specific on their product specs

You think $50 is cheap for a filter? If you're comparing it to that K&N "kit", the difference in price comes from 1) K&N ripping you off, and 2) half of what you're paying for is the S4 AFM adapter and bracket pieces. You have an S5 AFM.

The AEM dryflow filters are used in all sorts of automotive applications, and have smaller pores than K&N cotton filters. K&N filters rely on oiling to prevent small particles from entering the engine, so unless you oil every little spot possible, it won't filter as well as the the AEM.

Another type of filter to stay away from would be the HKS foam ones. Apparently as the foam breaks down, it can be sucked into the engine.
