I run 18x8+38 225/40 front and 18x9+40 265/35 rear. I don't think I could fit any more.

I dunno if it's "too big" - that will depend on what sized tires you stick on those things.
I'd worry about the OFFSET.
Those numbers should make the wheel contact everything inside.
Some small spacers should help though...

Do you run any spacers or anything? I'm surprised fit so flush with those offsets. Would you mind sharing what brand/model wheels they are?

The brand is MB Motorsports model vr16 I think. Discounttiredirect.com has them for 117.00 each. If I remember it was like 1150.00 shipped with the tires. No spacers on the vert , but when I put them on my coupe one front would hit a little on the strut the other side would not. It fits on the vert just fine so all is well.

Nice trick since the vert and the coupe use the same strut assemblies, and just different springs

In other words I call BS

Call it what you want I am stating what fits on my cars. If you read correctly I said on the coupe one side clears barely and one side hits barely, on the vert both sides clear barely this could mean a problem exists on the coupe , I realy don't know. Fact is it does fit the vert but as I said in my original post I don't think you could fit much more.
