Will taillights from an 89 fit on an 86??

Will taillights from an 89 fit on an 86??
Hi. I just got my RX-7, and the tail lights are pretty bad looking. Very faded with a few cracks. I was wondering if the lights off of an 89-91 would fit onto my 86??? I ask because I found a set of JDM style ones on Ebay that say they're for 89-91.

from what i have heard it should fit although you need a lisence plate holder or something to that effect. i am not entirely sure...good luck!
