Will a 82 Tranny work in 90?

I am new here but looked around for an answer before making my post as I did not find anything.

I have an auto '90 and need a tranny. I found a T1 on ebay but I am not sure if it will work?

Anybody?

Doug

Any 81-91 NA tranny should work just fine.

it may bolt up but there is a lot more to it than simply bolting it on and going, you would need a turbo flywheel and clutch to match your engine series.

then there is the matter of the ECU, guage cluster, wiring harness, clutch master/slave/hoses, pedals, etc...

FB is the older body style of the RX7, the first generation. FC is the second generation which you own.

You need an auto from an 89-91, short and simple. It may be possible to take an auto 86-88 and swap your sensors onto it. I have no clue about the older 1gen ones, but I know they mount differently in the car, so I wouldnt fool with one of those. Besides, if your 90 one died, how good a shape would an early 80's one be in compared to that?
