Will an s5 Turbo2 rear end hold 500+ rwhp?

Guys, I am looking at installing an s5 t2 rear end, my question is will it hold 500+ rwhp on a daily driver? Also, without having to open it, factory rear? Thanks

i think the S4 rears are a little stronger. if they have been rebuilt and are in good shape they can withstand alot of power, ive heard up to 600whp. i personaly run the S4 rear in my 420whp rx7 and i do track launches on 10 inch wide slicks and i lay down 1.6 60ft times. ive been running the same rear for 3 years now and do alot of drag racing and street driving. you should be ok with a S4, your tranny or half shafts will break before the rear

It depends on how you drive it. On a set of street tires, your limitation will be the rubber. At those power levels the tires just spin. Launching on slicks will break anything.

good luck finding and s5 T2 rear end. Just use a rebuilt s4. The s4 rear end is considered an upgrade for FD's.
