Will S5 TII 5-speed work in a 1990 Miata?
There is a Miata near me for sale for 450 because the auto tranny is shot...i have a few extra TII transmissions...will any of them work in the Miata?
I have one TII 5-speed, an N/A 5-speed and two S4 auto's....

I think you probably want to talk to the Miata guys about this. I would personally think not many of us here have miata's and much less of us would have thought to check the patter on their tranny's bellhousing.
I believe you can swap a 13B into a miata though so the thing must 'physically' fit into the tunnel.

Wouldn't be easy.
Miatas use a powerplant frame similar to an FD, so in theory an FD tranny would be better because it has bolts to bolt onto a powerplant frame, only problem here is that the powerplant fram is on the other side on an FD than it is on a miata. So long story short, can you make it work? Yes. A TII tranny would require all sorts of custom custom custom work on the car.
Is it something you really want to mess with?
No.
