will s4 tII a/c work on s5 TII??

Just as the title says,,,my friend has a 88 TII with full a/c and he wants to get rid of it,,,i wanna put it in my 89 tII will everything swap or am i gonna have problems??

I have been doing some research myself on this and it looks like it wouldn't work on yours. 89 thru 91 are very different from the 86-88.If he wants to get rid ot it tell him to lmk as I'm looking for a set up for my 88 turbo.

The following indicates that the 87-90 are the same, 91 different
Condensor
Evaporator Assy
Evaporator case Upper & lower
Receiver/Dryer

Heater/Blower motor assy same

I believe the compressors are different in the S5, but if your friend has the entire unit, I'd go for it. My book doesn't show the front accessory brackets, but if they are the same it should be doable. Nice to have cold air in the summer!

hmmm cool...i guess ill go pull it off and give it a shot....tx heat is alot better with cold a/c!!

cann anyone else confirm this?
