Lightbulb Will a properly built 3" DP help a lot?

I'm thinking of buying this TANABE stainless steel 80mm 3" inch downpipe for my 87 TII. Its about $450 canadian, so not cheap. But will that give me pretty good POWER?

If you still have your precat then it will make a BIG difference. IF you already have a 2.5" DP then it won't make as much of a difference.

Go with Racing beat, or Rx7fashion, for full SS.

Of course if you dont have a cat back exhaust for that 3" DP then it will get choked by the rest of the exhaust. And if you have to run cats, gut them or get a high flow unit. A 3" pipe splitting into duals should split into at least a pair of 2 1/4 if not 2 1/2 inch pipes.

Or at least thats what my brother-in-law the mechanic says
