Will original heat sheild fit after auto to manual swap?

I did the auto to manual swap, and I'm putting the exhaust back on the car. The rear heat shield doesn't fit without hitting the drive shaft. Is this normal? What would happen if I were to drive the car without the heat shields installed?

Heh, half of my heat shields are not there anymore because I stripped many of the mounting holes out. I do not really notice a difference in the car. I mean, it does not get any more hot now than when I first got the car.

ok, thats a good sign. Means I'll be able to press on without the heat shields. I can't get them in the way they used to fit when the auto tranny was installed. Thanks again for the starter. Works great.

Not a problem, man. Glad I could be of help with you changing your car over to the "better" transmission.
