Will no air pump on an 86-88 TII make it not start?

I don't think it will but the one I want to get doesn't start for a couple reasons and I was wondering if this could be one. Please give me some advise here. The other reasong it wont start is the person took of a feul presure sensor switch to feed feul directly to the engine for the pump and its getting flooded. Can I still get it started with out the switch so I can drive it home or not?

Air pump has nothing to do with a no-start problem.

Unless you have a huge vacuum leak because of an air pump/ACV removal.

And the fuel problem, sounds like someone fucked it up good. Or the injectors are leaking like crazy.

I'll bite. Where is this fuel pressure switch located????? No, the air pump should have squat to do with the engine starting. Would like the location of the switch that you talk about. When describing the location and talking about right, left, front, rear please pretend you are sitting in the car looking forward. Rights, right, lefts, left etc.

I'm not sure where it is but its the one that comes right from the pump and sends the gas to the injectors? Thats all I know. I haven't been able to look at that part of the engine yet.

the air flow meter has switch in it that keeps the fuel pump turned off until the motor is actualy running. that switch could be bad. i had never heard of afm's on 7s going bad until my friend sold his cuz it wouldnt run and the new owner replaced the afm and it runs great now.

Removing the air pump should have nothing to do with the it not running or starting. Did you plug the open vacuum line after removing the air pump?
You talked about feul pressure sensor. Why was this messed with in the first place? Whoever worked on the car doesn't know what he was doing. Try checking the solenoids if they're all connected correctly. You CANNOT mess that up since it color coordinated. If it doesn't start
check the solenoids or if the vacuum line is connected to the fuel pressure reg. If it starts and soesn't run, you have a BIG vacuum leak.
Just go backwards to whatever was touched. Simple.
99% of the time SOMETHING wasn't plugged in.

Airflow meter

If it is not too intensive the very first thing that you should do is remove the modification that you made. If the car still doesn't run then you'll have a better idea of where to start. I would guess that you mod is in direct conflict with the control of your airflow meter (on air box). The airflow meter is often the culprit as it has specific requirement to allow the engine to run.
