Will gas in engine oil cause the car to run rich?

I flooded my car by accident tonight after relocating some stuff at the front and forgot to plug the MAF back in, but got it unflooded by cranking less than 10 seconds with fuel cut off.

Anyways the oil is packed with the smell of gas but the color is still very fresh (just changed oil less than 300km ago). I am just curious will a single flood like that cause the car to run rich? Because i can smell it from the exhaust and the AFR are getting lowered by quite abit even after i drove the car for around 30km+.

The short answer to your question is no. Now to go a little further a car that is running rich will create a gas smell in its oil. At first thought one would believe that this would cause the car to run richer since that same oil is being injected into the chamber. The reality though is that the omp system is more of a drip, so its highly unlikely for it to be able to cause such a condition.

No it won't, but running rich will put gas in the oil

Agreed, fix your running rich issue and change your oil. If the smell come back, you have another issue.

rotaries dilute the oil pretty quickly with fuel as it is. after flooding the motor it's a good idea to go ahead and change the oil.
