Will the A/C light on the logicon work if the A/C has been deleted?
After two days of soldering practice on an extra logicon board, i have become decent at soldering. i successively fixed all the lights on the logicon (first one wasn't to lucky) and tested all of the functions.
They all work except for the A/C light. The solder points (no board damage) are perfect on both logicon boards. I was wondering if it wont light up because i don't have the A/C installed?

good trivia question!
i think it won't light up, cause the circuit includes the compressor.... don't hold me to it though, i had a non AC car in 1995!

I know that the condenser inside the car has a plug to it thats been removed as well, usually the most simplistic answer is the right one. i'm going to check the light then switch the actual button for the light and see what that does.

I would hook the logicon back up. Then probe the wires with the car running, both before + after you push the AC button on the logicon. I'm sure one of them is a black ground wire, then the other is probably an on/off wire. Hopefully it's that easy. Then you could see if you soldered it correctly or not.

After soldering the same type button and led (that i know work) into the A/C slot, i checked for continuity throughout the switch. I cant be sure why its not lighting up because i don't know exactly how the switch functions. Although, when the button is depressed i get continuity from the purple wire all the way back to the blue wire. I do think its because the condenser is not hooked up.
I successfully fixed my wiper switch!
but i cant get the clock to work what are the main points to resolder?

when i pulled the condenser thats inside the car it did have wires going to it, but that like i said earlier probably has nothing to do with it. like i said before, when the button is depressed i get continuity from the purple wire all the way back to the blue wire on the circuit board. so any idea why the light isnt working? its like this on two logicons i have just that button, and i doubt its coincidence.
