86 and 87 ECU'S are the same. N326. No such thing as an automatic ECU. One does all, manual or automatic. Automatic ECU is a myth.

Yep, Hailers is correct. The auto is controlled by an entirely different box, not related to the ECU at all.

Auto to manual. Why not. Just a lot of things to change and add. Need clutch pedals and master plus slave cylinders. Need flywheel from the same series as the engine. I wonder if the connectors for the manual transmission are tied up somewhere near where they would go on a manual???? They have the connectors for cruise control in the harness whether or not your car came with cruise, same with electric windows etc. So I wonder if the connectors for a manual transmission are laying about awaiting a manual transmission . Make sense/????? By the way, I know the list of parts needed is longer than that above for the conversion, I'm just ignorant about the other things like???????? Like driveshft for one, which brings up a idea. Do you wanna sell your automatic driveshaft for some bucks???? Is it any good???? Now why would HAILERS wanna buy a automatic driveshaft when all he owns is manual cars and is not going to put a automatic in any of them?????
