Question Will adding an MSD box to my TII help?

I have a rich bottom and top end and my car kinda misfires at idle. The plugs are usually black too. I heard an ignition box usually cures all that. Has anyone here had any positive experience with adding an MSD box? Which one to get?

Running rich will foul spark plugs quickly. The OEM NGK plugs are notorious for fouling easily as well. I'm now running NGK B8EGVs and B9EGVs in my TII. These are motorcycle plugs designed specifically to resist fouling. The only negative, if you wanna nit-pick, is that you need a thin walled plug socket to install them. I just used a bench grinder and ground down a good quality socket.

I installed a MSD6A, upgraded the OEM wires to Accel 300+ thundersports, and the plugs 2000 miles ago.

Results:

Although the idle was smooth before the upgrade, It seems to be a bit smoother.

The rpms studder slightly when dropping, from above 3k, to idle while in Neutral. This did not happen before. Not a big deal to me.

I noticed the throttle response under 3k rpms is more crisp.

A exhaust harmonic I had cruising in 5th gear at 3k RPM, moved to 3300 rpm.

I have never had to turn the key twice to start the car. Hot or Cold.

Overall, I am pleased with the investment:
MSD 6A: $130 @ Jegs
Accel Thundersport 300+Wires : $16 on Ebay (bargain)
NGK BEGVs: $17 for all 4 @ Advanced Auto Parts ( OEM about $40)
S-K Plug Socket $1.50 @ Flea Market

Rich cure

change your o2 sensor your plugs, and your wires. If you are still having the problem...check your coil resistance. I have the MSD 6a on the leading coil and my plugs clearly show they are firing like they should be.
