I was wondering(yes i searched thru past threads) can i put an 85 tranny into an 87? if there is a all knowing source i could refer to, i am all ears-----

i was using a 82 gearbox in a 90. you have to replace the rear half of the tranny with that of the 90.

from what i understand some are compatable some aren't. i don't know the list.

 

I was offered a tranny for 50 bucks-anyway, its from an 85-i own an 87.....
can it be done??

uhh...I believe so, if I'm correct all rotaries have the same bolt patterns, so the bell housings bolt up to each other no? Just a question of the driveshaft....
