Ok, hello everyone I have a question mabey you guys can help me with. I have an 86 rx7 GXL. When I crank the car sometimes, only happened 3 times since I got the car about a month and a half ago, it will be beeping, no lights on or anything, just be beeping. When I start to back up, it will be really hard to steer for a few seconds, then it will get easy to steer, and it will stop beeping, I checked, and it has enough power steering fluid, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

 

the beeping you here means something is wrong with the power steering.... how many beeps is it in a row?? it will go like beep beep beep....pause beep beep beep..... or somthing like that

theres 5 different "beep codes" the ps will throw. 1-5 beeps

 

if you can't figure out what code it is throwing, try loosening the belt and spinning the pylley on the front of the PS pump. This is to check the berring. If it's no good you'll know.

Where do you find this information. I just spend the evening going through my Factory Shop Manual, and nothing like this could be found.

can someone help me find the "beep codes" mine also beeps. 3 consecutive beeps then a pause then another 3 consecutive beeps is what im getting in my TII. thank you
