Wierd Noise when Im not on clutch.

Wierd Noise when Im not on clutch.

So whenever im idiling and I don't have my foot on the clutch theres this wierd noise that comes out. Its like a spinning noise or something I'll try to get a recording if possible. Any one have ne idea what this is.

Clutch pedal not pressed/neutral – Input shaft bearing
Fix: replace

Clutch pedal pressed half way – Throwout bearing
Fix: replace

Clutch pedal fully pressed – Pilot bearing
Fix: replace

In all gears regardless of clutch – Transmission gears
Fix: New transmission
Band-Aid: Better transmission fluid

1st gear whining – Input shaft bearing
Fix: Replace

Grinding when shifting – Bad synchros; shift fork; bad clutch system
Fix: Replace
Band-Aid: Better transmission fluid; shift slow

Notchy shifting – Bad synchros; bad bearings
Fix: Synchros - Rebuild transmission/buy a new one; Bearings – replace
Band-Aid: Better transmission fluid can help temporarily

I have the same noise. Thanks for the info don iz will. I honestly just thought it was the sound of the pressure plate spinning at idle...it is a strange noise, not loud but does sound like ****.

I should mention the noise goes away when I put the clutch in.

replacing the input shaft bearing would require taking out the gearbox and stripping it down i believe but dont quote me im no expert
