wierd humming noise at 50mph+

ok i got this wierd humming noise when i reach 50mph and above and its getting annoying. when i turn left it goes away. even when i jerk the wheel to the left for a split second it goes away. i thought it was my front wheel bearings so i got them tightened but that did nothing. the problem is still there. this is pissing me off. any suggestions?

I would check and adjust tire inflation and tire balance. Out of tire balance will create a vibration at higher speeds. If that isn't the problem, it could be be the drive shaft and differential joints wearing out. As this condition gets worse, a humming will change to a vibration that gets worse as speed increases.

I'm not saying this is your problem, but it's something else you can check.

Better call Keanu Reeves, soundsl ike you have a bomb on your hands

Id agree, check your tires first, if that doesnt solve it, one of the above stated

Is it in the rear or front as far as sound? I know you mentioned the front wheels but where are you HEARING it?

Yeah, I agree with Aaron. You could check the bearing by jacking up the front (one side first or put the car on jackstands), grabbing the tire at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions and jiggling. Try again at 12 and 6. If you feel and hear a clicking then it's probably your bearings.
