the car just got done,
pls blv wheels and coilovers are on the way.

How was the car totalled? I mean what made the insurance company say it was totalled?

it's an NA FC........that's what made the insurance company total it.....not worth fixing in their opinion........the cool thing is that you can buy the car from them and fix it for cheaper..........WHAT are your mods on the GTUs? I mean you went *** backwards if the FIRST STEP IS TO add widebody before anything...........

is this really that hard to understand?

THIS IS WHAT MY CAR LOOKED LIKE

I was given 2300$
it was totaled out.

now I can either
A. buy the car back and fix it.
B. take the cash and let the car go

I am sure you guys understand the whole GTUs schpeel, so I decided to keep and fix the car.

I couldn't afford 3,500 to fix it w/ a re-welded factory quarter panel, new door, and fender

So I did what I could afford to fix it/ make the car meet my standards to drive it again.

are we on the same page yet?

if you don't mind me asking... How much did they charge to buy it back? How much was it to put on the fenders and have them painted? Looks good, will look great with the wheels and coilovers!!!

I bought the car back for like 600$ or something,
after all said and done they gave me like 3100$ for the car,

These are the only wide body rear fenders I know of besides the mariah like 60mm rear fenders, ( now that woulda have looked stupid )

I bought the fenders on ebay for 300$
bought the lip for like 300$
painted it for around 600$
bought the exhaust for around 300$
bought the wheels for around 650$
and I will decide on tires when the wheels get here,

I am not 100% sure yet but I might get some corksport front fender flares.

soon enough...

and yes, I was trying to sell it, and I actually had it about sold untill I got in the accident,
and since the value of the car went to **** from the accident I figured
" I still own a 1990 GTUs " and said **** it and brought it back 2 life.

A turbo2 is worth about $500 more for 1990 same condition/mileage where i live so thats not gonna make much of a difference when your talking about heavy damage on a car thats worth around 4k.

When your talking older FCs say 88s... a turbo2 means about $100 more.

Paint looks good, the body looks pretty cheesey to me. I would have picked up a junked FC and frankensteind that **** if i were you.

dude...I love the kit, and once you're done it's going to be even better.
I can't wait until mine gets to a good point. But I've only had it two weeks.
