Wideband O2 Sensor Location

Has anyone here ran their O2 sensor in their test pipe? I was just wondering because I was going to get a test pipe fabbed up for my RB exhaust setup anyway, so it might be easier to get the bung welded into the testpipe instead of having to remove the DP to get it put in there.

Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question!

I have mine in the test pipe location and haven't had any problems with it. From going to different dyno sessions it has read accurate. This is with a bosch sensor controlled by a plx m300.

Make sure you don't have any exhaust leaks before the sensor and make sure you have enough room for it. If I remember right it has to be between the 10-2 o'clock position if you where looking down the pipe.

Finally got the sensor in. Is it okay if the sensor is tilted towards the engine, or would that be a bad thing? The guy who did the job must have misunderstood what I said.

It won't matter as long as the tip of the sensor is still in the airflow path.
