why wont my fuel rail fit

not sure if im doing something wrong or not since i really dont know what im doing

pretty sure i have an s4 T2 fuel rail with my s4 intake manifolds, but for some reason when mounting the fuel rail it sits way too high, barely sticking the injectors in there. it looks like it if the intake manifold was like 1/4" lower it'd be perfect.

but really i dont even no. the fuel rail mounts to those two holes on the engine side of the LIM/UIM flange correct? the UIM does not have holes for bolts there.

Thats an S5 fuel rail. Stack some washers under the mounting tabs.

EDIT: nevermind on the washers, I'm thinking S4 rail on S5 manifold. You're going to have to allow the rail to sit down further by either bending the mounting tabs up and widening the holes, or by some other method. OR get an actual S4 TII fuel rail and bolt it on

Get the right rail...

Steel tube rails are S5.
Cast aluminum rails are S4.
