my first gear literally throws you against the seat, but my 2nd gear and up is more mild mannered. about 1/2 the power in those gears. why? why so much less power in 2nd gear? ive been in other cars that were alot stronger in 2nd and 3rd and 4th. whats the deal?

The Cause of Death
Has it always done this?
The most torque is gonna be found in first gear, due to torque multiplication. That would be the reason it feels like it's throwing you against the seat.
First has the highest gear ratio, which would create the most torque, which will get you moving the fastest, but not for very long. Know what I'm saying?
Also, does your tranny make any noises or anything like that? How's the fluid?
