why remove the 5th and 6th ports

Hey im thinking about buying an '88 GXL from a guy on this forum. But anyway he told me that he removed the 5th and 6th ports on a rebuilt 13B...i thought the extra ports would give it some extra HP...with it removed does it mean im getting 25 HP less?!!?!

All advice welcome since im planning on buying the car this week. thks

no its the sleeves hes taliknig about, supposed to give you top end, but the general consencus is it doesnt unless you port match the manifold. i did it to mine, but only because the sleves were both carbon locked closed and im emissionless anyway so they cant open up with out rigging something up.
it reall just gives you less tourqe and less of a headache when diagnosing low power issues
