Not normal. It's always possible the flap in the afm is not closing all the way when the engine is turned to OFF.

Is you afm installed at a peculiar angle????

stop as in stop moving or stop as in turn it off?

why would you only drive 5-20 secs then turn the car off?

Yeah. I gave a bad answer. Got me. It seems you'd have to have a couple of faults for that to happen. A stuck Circuit Opening Relay plus????? Or is it just the power antenna you are actually hearing?

it's not the antenna. do you think it could be causing my gas mileage to suck?

that sounds starnge, but it shouldnt affect your gas mileage. even if your pump ran all the time, assuming your injectors are good, the engine would only get the fuel that was allowed past the fuel injectors. So, the fuel pump running after you shut the car off is really strange. I would definetly check around, something could be shorting out, or you might have a bad relay.
