why does my clutch stick to the floor?

I've tried adjusting it with no avail it i go one way the clutch doesn't release enough, it i go the other way it make the master cyclinder move when you press the clutch. I've found the happy medum and now the petal will get stuck in the down positon when i bring my foot up. I keep stalling, any ideas?

sounds like your clutch maste cylinder needs either a rebuild or a replacement.

Yup mine did this too. I had to tie my foot to the pedal so I could yank it up to limp home. Time for a new one! They're not expensive and the swap doesnt take long. Be careful when bleeding the clutch slave because it's sorta a pain in the *** the way it's buried. I got a speedbleeder fitting for mine

you could just try to bleed any air out of it before you go replacing everything.

with the bonez clutch it would make sense that the master cyl. would die.

I had the same thing happen to me at college with no real tools or anything to fix it. It ended up being the master cylinder...not too hard to replace.

Have you tried lubricating the pivot point for the pedal? This fixed mine.

taking it apart i found that the push rod that goes from the petal into the master cyl. is bent. What in the world could have caused that to bend, it looks like its made of solid brass?

those hard 1-2 2-3 3-4 shifts cause it to bend lol

who knows ours cars are 11-16 years old.. over 100,000 miles.. things like this stop working and getting older just my 2 cents.. and dont go for the rebuild kit.. for some reason it sucks.... i tried it and lasted a week...
