ok, it only happens when i sitting still, sometimes when i try to go into 1st or reverse it will grind. it doesn't grind at all when i'm moving. the shifter feels pretty sloppy, is my problem just old shift bushings?

 

I have the exact same problem..was told it was bushings as well. Mazdatrix makes the kit you need with springs/boots for pretty cheap. HTH

 

hey, i have my TurboII tranny sitting in my garage..do you think i should give it some new shifter bushings?
