why??

i was just wondering why my BOV doesnt go off if im just idiling and rev it unless i rev it to red line or something. but i noticed that othe cars can just rev and have theirs go off alot louder without alot less effort??

probably because your not under load sitting still, and the load is one there for a few seconds (cause when you rev, you just let air in, nothing for it to work against like moving the car), so the built up boost isnt very much to let out the BOV..

yeah, its about how much boost you build up. if there's no air being forced in then there's nothing to let up. those other cars probably have faster spooling turbos or something.

actually (going out on a limb) due to the rotary design - they spin freely - just revving they probably produce alot less load for a turbo than a piston engine that fights the crankshaft the whole was up to 5-6k rpm or whatever..

just a guess..
