The best we could muster up from the civic was 13.2 @ 105mph. Our times kept getting lower as we got used to the track. We pulled that 13.2 at 9:50pm right before the track closed. We might be going again this sunday and try to get into the 12's.

MikeL, when you get the new ones installed, would you consider selling the stock ones? I was out on washboard gravel & my driver's FTP lens fell out & disappeared (at least that's what I assume happened, the lens is gone, but the mounting hardware is still there.

i went to an auto parts store and put an extra bulb socket in the turn signal. it has a spot for the extra bulb. and i wired it so that the bright part of what used to be the turn signal is the parking light, and the new bulb is the turn signal. kinda like this http://www.miata.net/garage/park/techpark.html

Hey 4cefed7, don't you have these on your series 5? What did you do, wire them to be on with parking lights and park/head lights? Or, did you wire them to be on with the key? Or, did you wire them to be on with your factory fog lights?

Mike i do indeed have these on my car. they look pretty darn sweet. Ive got mine wired to a relay running off the fog lights.(a relay will save you from over working the fog light wiring system)
Im betting that there is a wiring for the lenses on the american market cars, one wiring harness would be easier to make than 2.

the parking, fog, and FTP are all wired together. the FTP and fogs can be turned off and on together. My parking lights a ghettofied with seperate parking lights and turn signal bulbs.(my parking lights are clear, but i still have amber turn signals.

rewire?

how do you rewire the stock FTP lenses to shine when the headlights are retracted without pulling the fuse/power to the headlight motors?

Id like to know how to rewire the headlight motors too.

I have also been playing with the idea of using a new halogen two way bulb in the FTP after sealing it fromt he elements. The test lens I have is in sad shape but it was free. Would any one be interested in a headlight conversion that would turn the FTP into the headlight and eliminate the need for the existing system? Provided I can get them aimed right.

Also is it legal to do that?

I want to keep my old lenses, sorry.

But..., I have a spare drivers side lens. The bolt holes are messed up but, I know I could make it work. You can have it. Just send me the amount of the shipping shown on the package plus a Coke. Do you want it? How would you want it shipped?

Mike

Sure I'll take it. Ship however you want, no rush (although Priority Mail may be cheapest, may even fit a bubble wrap envelope). I'll even make it a 2 liter of Coke. I'll PM you with my address.

Thanks again.
