white somking TII

87 TII, premix no omp

ok... i'm getting some white smoke from the exhaust pipe, not clouding the whole neighborhood but some smoking... also there's water coming out the exhaust too... and this one is going to be interesting: i also see the same smoke from the engine bay on the turbo side!! it smells somewhat like oil burning but less severe of a smell, more like steamed water smell

after running the car around the block and parked in the driveway, i see some water leaking underneath about the area of the turbo (about an ounce or so on the ground), and it doesnt smell... didn't leak water when i started the car and not run it around

put the engine in the car few weeks ago, and it was sitting outside for about 6 months, but i had something covering it kind of, and i think it rained maybe once or twice during that time but only sprinkling rain...

i wonder what the smoke can be, it doesn't seem like i'm loosing coolant, and the collant reservior isn't overflowing or emptying either... i don't suppose there's leftover rain in the engine...

and yes i'll take a look under the car tomorrow and see where is leaking... can anyone give me some insight on this? i have no idea what to do!

Sounds like coolant actually. Oil is blue. Gas is black. Coolant is white.

Its not weird for the same smoke to come out of the turbo, since the exhaust pressure is what pushes the turbocharger.

My N/A with 200k miles on it does the same thing if it sits for a few days.. unless its heavy I would not worry about it. Take it for a good ride... then call the doctor in the morning.

P.S. check the coolant at the filler pipe when warm or cold .. don't go by the resivoir.... I have seen to many of them work for ****.
