how much is comming, white smoke usually indicates burning coolant, its possible that your coolant seals are starting to fail which can only be truely fixed with a rebuild. there are many threads that cover how to fix this with radiator sealer stuff (not sure about the exact name) and it seems to work pretty well for most people as a temporary fix. -alex

If it smokes white(sweet smell) when cold it means a blown/cracked coolant seal. When it is cold the cracked coolant seals allow coolant to seep into the chanber.........once the car warms up the seal expands and coolant no longer leaks in. In order to get to the seals ou need to tear the whole engine apart so most people will just rebuild it while it is all apart................
