white smoke n oil outta turbo!!!
well, to make long story short, the car overheated and i'm not sure if the motor's good, but it looks like turbo's shot... cuz i saw oil sipping out of the turbo; although, the compressor wheel spins fine and there's barely any play.... i plan on doing the BNR stage 3.. but havent made up my mind yet... any suggestions? ne other alternatives? maybe T04E? is it ok with stock IC? also, how can i check to see if my motor is blown/fine? it's only 20k mi old (reman)... ne help would b appreciated.

Where exactly is the oil dripping from? The turbo -> manifold, manifold -> engine, the exhaust? If it's leaking from the manifolds, it could be that the oil seals are gone (although not as likely on a reman engine) Can you give us any more info?

it seemed like oil was leaking from the turbine housing itself... will check again tom. almost got the damn thing out..... it idled fine when i started it last time... but boost was weak n sputtering and white smoke pouring out the exhaust pipes.. not the turbo or newhere else... that's when i checked underneath and saw oil slowly sipping out from the turbo.
compression test.. do i just stick my finger in a spark plug hole n crank the engine to see if it will blow my finger out? i can also check my oil to see if ne coolant got to it, right?

i had oil leaking out of my turbo also, turned out to be the shaft seal. time for a rebuild. as far as the compression test you can use either a regular tester (sorry don't know the correct numbers i think around 90-100 is good) or go to your mazda dealer and have them use the correct tester.
