does the smoke come out of the engine bay or the exhaust??

what color is the smoke? white or blue?

does it smoke all the time after 6500? or once in a while?

Well the obvious things to check are the 5-6 hoses that run coolant around the engine (to-from BAC, to-from TB, to-from Heater). Does your coolant level drop at all ? Do you get the buzzer ?

And more importantly: does the engine struggle to start after sitting for a while ? (i.e does coolant drop into the housings ?). A little white smoke when engine is cold (at startup) is almost normal, but not the quantities that you are mentioning....

check the hoses first....

the car is hard to start sometimes when its been sitting. but i think that was causes by the most infanous floodin on the fc's.. ived checked all of the hoses, and the connecting clamps and there are no leaks.. but i did have a coolant leak at the bottom hose of the lower radiator hose, but id now fixed .
and as for the coolant level it seems to be normal.
and there is no buzzer. the car did run hotter than b4. but it was because i took off the radiator shround and the cont intake thing on the top of the shround. as of installation. car temp seem to have lowered dramaticly.. i hope this helps...so please heeeeeeelp..

check compression. i had that happen to me and it was a broken sside seal. everything was fine but at high rpms it would look like i was working for the city.

nope. i checked the compression and i got 90 psi on all of em.. so this is a good sign..what is the compression with a bad seal. im guessin anything lower than 90, right.
anyone else got any other ideas.

I get to 6500 and once in a while i get the exhaust backfire igniting causing some smoke behind me. Don't know if that is what is happening.
