White smoke and idel problems hlp plz

Question White smoke and idel problems hlp plz

I have an 88 FC3S and it is blowing ALOT of white smoke from the tailpipes. Also I can't drop my idelbelow 4k. Ijust got this car and Iwant to know what Ican do to get her back on the road.

sounds like it may be the coolent seels in the motor. check your coolent, see if theres any oil in it or if its dissapearing. if it is then you need a rebuild.

White is coolant, sniff it and see what it smells like. Idle problem... could be alot of stuff. Need more info but it might not hurt to have a compression test done. Since you just got it do a 60k tune up and go from there.

for your idle problem, try adjusting your tps. doing that MIGHT solve ALOT of problems for you too. as for white smoke, is it just during when you first start your car in the morning? if it is, how long does it take for the smoke to clear out?

Yo man thanks for the hlp but the smoke dosn't clear out, and due to the smell i think oil is burn. Any other suggestions

RX7's inject oil in the chamber for lubrication of the seals, so yeah, you'll think that the engine burns oil . but if the smoke is kinda bluish in color, then the oil rings are bad and that only means one thing, REBUILD. hopefully, that's not the case coz my car smokes a lot too when i first start it in the morning but clears up after 10 minutes of just leaving it idle till the engine warms up.

look at my thread a few down i just figured out my problem...MAF ...i had a hole in my air box causing a terrible leak and also right below the intake pipe there is a little vacuum hose check all your vacuums that one on my car came loose ....turn on the car (once your idel is fixed and let it run for 10-15 min. as time goes on the white smoke goes away....not sure what it is nor do i care but its gone now ...few starts after i fixed the idel...its the maf or a vacuum line
