White smoke from the exhaust!, Any thing wrong?!

Whenever i push the gas peddle to 5K RPM or over ,while the car is stopped ... i get white somke from the exhause! the exhause make a sound like a mini "bomb" followed by the white smoke?
Does any body here know what the problem could be?

PS: i have noticed that my car is leaking oil too! does that has any thing to do with the white smoke?

Thanks! huh.gif

Does the smoke smell like oil or does it smell kind of sweet? If the smoke is coming out of the exhaust pipe as you indicate, it's not likely that an external oil leak per se would cause that. Could be related, but would probably not directly cause the smoke out the tailpipe. Where is the oil leak?

Do you have to add coolant periodically? If the smoke smells sweet, the cause may be leaking coolant seals in the engine. Actually, if it smells like oil or coolant, you may need an engine rebuild or replacement. A compression test will probably tell you if that is the case.

Biggest problems I seen when we had the rotary repair shop was engine coolant leaks, they were caused from 1. over heating --- no thermostat, wrong thermostat, running low on coolant due to a leak........... or 2. Old coolant, which ate away at the rotor housings.. coolant turns to an acid base when it gets old, and under heat is great for destroying parts..

I have just bough this car less than 2 months ago! whata luck
i have always wondered why the coolant level is always down! so in about every week, i add coolant.
I'm going to check if the smoke disappears quickly or not!

oil seal leak.

it only leaks @ higher oil pressure.
and doenst smoke @ idle or anything below 4-5k. and stops when you cut back on throtle?

its harmless, well i've been driving on mine forever. just needs a lil more oi then usual
its an oil injected engine after all
also you can use a radiator seal **** . flush raditor. fill it and put some stuff in it to plug coolant leaks, ezer then a rebuild. and aparently holds out for a while
my bf unsealed his by holding it @8k the other week. used the stuff. and the leak is going away.

Even small amounts of coolant can make a massive smoke cloud. The answer to all rotary questions is.... *Angels sings* Rebuild! *Echo effect*

Ok guys ...
i figured out that the leaking is not oil .. it's coolant!
i bought some additive coolant leak stop **** yesterday .. and it did not seem to make any different ! maybe i would have to wait for at least another two days!

i tried to rev the engine again to 5k rpm... and the smoke was coming out ... little puffs (the car shakes after the puffs)...
i have just bought some lequid to stop the engine from smoking ... im going to try it and see what will happen !

i just can not get that my rx is gone! ... let's do some first aid and see what will happen.

ps: i can not smell any sweet after the smoke!!!
i dont even know how the "sweet" smoke smells!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have been adding anti-freeze with the coolant (which you should be) take a sniff of that anti-freeze. It has a sweet kind of smell to it.

Mine has a coolant leak under the hood, when i run it hard I can smell it very strong. Time to go through my engine bay and inspect hoses, but since I just wasted a tire today when i hit road debris from frickin construction, I have to get new tires first........
