White Smoke after idling 5 min?

Something weird is happening here;

Sometimes if I'm sitting at idle for a long period of time, my TII will start smoking pretty badly. Passes the bubble test.

Is there any reason the car would do this? I noticed it when I got stuck waiting for 15 min at a carwash.. If i turn the car off and start it up again, the smoke goes away. Any ideas? about 50k on a reman rebuild.

that's WEIRD.

I've seen TYSON's FD do exactly the same thing, too.

after idling for 5-10 minutes it suddenly started SPEWING white smoke. we figured that the car had ingested some oil in it during autocross, and it burped through the PCV into the intake and started burning it.. maybe something similar is happening here?

sorry bud, my car did the same thing. It DOES go away after it warmed up but when I pulled it out and tore it apart I had a broked center steel cooling jacket and mine also passed the bubble test.

White smoke is NOT a good sign at all

<------- this was my car while warming up, pure white smoke.

sorry bud

my guess is that the turbo is blown (oil seal) and wont smoke until the turbo gets heated up. thats what my 87TII did. it would startup and run fine til about 5 minutes later then it would start smoking. then if i boost it would REALLY smoke.
anyways, best of luck to you

well, it happens at idle whether it's warmed up or not. i drove the car hard all night once and was sitting in line at a drive thru and boom there it was

it doesnt seem to smoke under boost

i'm sure its not good any way ya cut it. hoping that i can hold out for a potential rebuild until the winter
