Agreed. Generally 17" rims will weigh more and that does nothing good for the handling. High dollar lite weight rims might be OK but they will possibly cost what the car is worth(depends on the car).

Get some 17's. They look great and the tire replacement cost is significantly less than for 18's.

As far as weight - I'm not sure why people complain about added weight. The way I see it, you're gaining an inch in wheel diameter but you're also losing some sidewall height which obviously means the tire should weigh less. You're just trading rubber weight for aluminum weight.

I have 18's and they look great. (had 16's, had 17's)

I dont see the advantage of running 17s unless you want it for looks (rice). FC can only fit a max of 225s in the front anyway, unless you want to run offset fatty tires, 16x7 will do the job. And why not run stagger tires? Well your car will plow even more than the way it did from the factory... Big tires in the back, skinny tires in front, no fun... Of course not many people care

what I want to know is how soul assasin fit 275's all around on his car. I think 17's look the best because they are pretty big but they won't kill your wide quality that much like when you get huge wheels with like 30 series tires

what about 17 in the back and 16 up front
Hey man. You have that backwards. You would want 17s up front. 16s on the back. You want more tread to flex with a bigger tire for quicker takeoffs & less wheel spin. You want less flex/rolling up front for cornering reasons. I dunno. Just get all 17s man. Not like you are putting on drag radials or anything.

My 87 TII is repainted a brighter bolder red than stock and has a 1inch drop and i have 17" white spoke style wheels. They fit great. I have Kuhmo Z rated 215/45's all the way around the diameter is the same as stock so the speedo is right. They are one size wider (205 to 215) good grip without the hydroplain. Everyone says they love the way the wheels look. I got the wheels at Whalentire.com they have good prices and ship quick exspecialy on the west coast. My wheels are the ADR Trauma's

Go 17" for sure so you can keep the tire side wall hieght low for better handling while keeping your speedo right. Dont go 18 your tire height will get a little to low to keep the speedo right and you risk hitting the wheels alot. Also 18" wheels amd Tires both are VERY expensive there is a huge jump in price from 17 to 18

Don't know how it would look on an FC but the NSX's came with different diameters on the wheels. My supervisor now has a C5 vette and it came from the factory with 17's on the front an 18's on the rear.
