While I have my dashboard out, I might as well switch out my heater core.

Because it's pretty busted. I've got the dashboard out, and everything that comes with it, so what do I need to know about the heater core?

Where can I get one? how much are they?

Theyre so cheap, youd be insane NOT to replace it. My guesstimate is less than $30.

It should be bolted ont the firewall in some fashion. Youll need to remove the 2 hoses that go to it in the engine bay.

Hm, looked it up in the Haynes manual. If this were real life and my car was in driving condition, this would be a bitch. But all these things are sitting around in my room. Easy as pie!

My heater core is out. I had to bypass it. I was leaking coolant out of both of the tubes coming in and out of the fire wall. Tried new hoses and better clamps, still leaks coolant bad. Was lucky it did not bust in side and it looks like it is only the tubes coming from the heater core. Any way I bought a new on and I need to replace it. My dash is in good condition and do not have a clue at where to start to remove it to reach the heater core. How did you do this? Recommend doing this while you have the dash out now. It is a pain in the rear if this is the only reason you have to take out your dash.
