oh you got an s5 so you can't use the apillar huh? I have gauges right above my ashtray and on my apillar however for an s5 I've seen a guage pod made that goes on the left side of the steering wheel up on the dash board.

corksport ahs the border dash holders here

AutoMeter 2 1/4" - 2 1/16" Single and Dual A-Pillar Guage mount. ~$26.00

Works great on Non-Electric seatbelt models (86-88) and but needs modification/shaping for proper fitment on the 89-91 coupes. Would probably work fine on *vert models if the shape of the A-Pillar is the same as 86-88.

You can get your local dealers by calling Autometer or browsing their webiste.

I have a 91 T2 and the pod works fine - just had to pull out the a-pillar trim and shape the Autometer pod to the trim. Looks great.

autozone sells the autometer guage pods.

I'm currently trying to think of a good location for either a 2-guage or 3-guage pod...any ideas of where YOU would like to see the guages would be appreciated.

Ditto. The only annoying thing is the glare you get sometimes when driving in the daytime. I originally like the border mickey mouse one more though.

Well, the only gauge I installed on my S5, is a HKS Old School boost gauge. Mounted it directly in front of the steering wheel on top of the plastic steering wheel cover. It was a pain because the plastic was so thin, so I used metal underneath the cover for support. I think it looks great, and doesn't block the tach at all. In fact, when your driving it is exactly in the moddle of the tach and you can see the boost easily.

so the autometer one you have to mold yourself? i got one a long time ago for another car, but when i went to see if it was close to fitting my 7 it wasnt anywhere near right. also do the pods mold easily with a blow dryer?

No, just the oposite. This DOES NOT restrict your view like the Single & Dual A-pillar gauge pods do.

With the A-pillar pods blocking your view, turning Left can be VERY scary when you can't see what your turning into.

No, VDO and AutoMeter sell gauge pods with the correct molding to work with our cars. If you have an 89-91 "auto seatbelts" car, you do have to notch the pod mounts a little bit so they don't block the autobelt tracks.

Cool. How much for the dual?

I think I'll have to start making a mold for this...

I actually have neither...lol...most of the projects I say I'm going to get into, I never do. This winter, though, I'm DETERMINED to start on a sleek headlight conversion and at least one other thing.

You'll be making a mold of a mold. That kit fc3s.org sells is actually 2 different gauge pod kits molded into one for our LHD (left hand drive) cars.
