used to find nice stockers that had starting issues, get them for a decent price, get them running and throw a few bucks into the mod account- now when they are not running they are also pieces of ****. Such a shame.

I hate to be THAT guy - but in another couple years the drift and low and slow poke slam whatever craze will kill off the rest

This. Cars are treated as disposable items.

And thus we see that many words do not a sentence make.

I think you just made a joke about India and Texas, thereby pissing off billions of Indians.

None of that is unique to the FC, it's the way all "performance" cars end up.

This will always be the case with any sport car that gets to a low price range...everyone can afford them. Look at 240sx, ae86, fox body's, any dsm, impreza's most of the used market for these cars is either piles or overpriced. All it does for me is make my vehicle that much more rare and sought after.

Awesome ! That quote over there had me rolling on the floor Well there is also one person I know who has a barn full of FB/FC/FD in various states of repair

Besides that I only have 2 FCs so probably the highest FC per person count in the country

Concerning topic, I noticed the FC getting rarer over here too. Well mostly after I passed by and bought them lol

AL Agreed

I just wanted to say I completely agree with you. When I first started looking for FCs in 2010 there were a decent amount on autotrader/ebay/aol cars/etc. Convertibles, Coupes, occasional turbo...now you're lucky to find any medicore condition car much less a coupe or turbo. I sold my Turbo II in Aug 2012 and just bought it back. I periodically looked around online to just see what coupes/turbos were going for and I couldnt really ever find any to even compare to. It really is crazy how things can change within the space of a few years. Maybe they'll start resurfacing soon.

Performance cars used to end up like all others, rusty.

In the 2 years i spent looking for an FC, I bought one of the only few that weren't completely dilapidated and worth fixing up. Late gen and 60k miles on the clock, I dont plan to change much seeing how rare untouched unmolested FCs are

Who could have imagined that pretending to go fast would become more important than actually going fast?

Besides, old muscle cars drifted even when parked.

I hate ad's like these. The owner even posted this in our local okc group and I told him he should add more information, but he just says something like text me!. No mileage, no indication of auto or manual, T2 Hood not included so why not post current pictures then, does it even have a hood included? No pictures of said bad paint or anything, looks like the head light cover is dented in top. I'd be scared to find out what else is wrong with it lol.

when you had a slow shitty car you tried not to draw too much attention to it, it was to get you from point a to point b, maybe you put a decent stereo in it that was it.
Nothing more annoying than a really slow card acting hard in the lane next to you makes you want to slap the guy out of the way

Oh btw, just to give you an idea what FC go for in Luxemburg:

My first white S4 NA with around 150k km was listed for 2000 € (2750 usd) I got it for 1800 € (2470 usd) after negociation. Bought it via privat seller it had some rust and wasnt in the best shape anymore but it was running. Neglected would be the fitting description. Being frame off restored with a lot of aftermarket parts under the hood and na race engine. Stock from the outside I have invested around 20k in it as for now (20k € that is)

My second FC was a champagne S4 NA listed for 4500 € (6180 usd) at a used car dealer. Ok dealer knew nothing about it. Price was totally unreasonable. I got him down to a more reasonable 3500 € (4800 usd) It was running but the engine was blown as I found out afterwards. It lasted me a good 6 months which was OK. currently building a new engine for it with all new! parts. This will be a restored car as close as original as possible. Should replace my 08 honda civic type r as a daily driver. With all repairs and parts I should be pretty close to 6k investment as for now.

I think prices for FC here in Europe are pretty much high. When I read someone got a FC for 500 dollar or free then I just cant imagine lol

Yea, from my experiences over in Europe, the cost of everything is a little more expensive! lol. But that probably had to do more with exchange rate than anything else.

My 2nd FC became mine after trading a new cat-back system. Haha... It was pretty neglected but ran like a champ. I drove it for almost 3 years afterwards, until I wrecked it and parted it out.

The chassis is still around being driven and the motor found its way into other rotaries as well, lol.

Saw a white S4 on the side of interstate 75 in north Cincinnati today. Didn't look too bad.

I see faded red FCs once in a while. That's about it.
