I'm opting for the former ashtray. Still very visable to me and not to potential thugs.

 

doesn't that ashtray area get really hot? last time i tuoched that part is was really really hot after a nice hard run...

plus pd_day told me the safc gets naturally hot.

 

I didnt have a problem.

 

the Safc puts off some heat but its not much

Where I've got mine mounted you can't see it from out side of the car, even at night when its lit up, half the time my passangers don't even know its there, but I can see it just fine
